The focus of this course is designed for expecting parents, parents, grandparents and other caregivers. It provides participants with the knowledge and skills aimed at managing life‐threatening situations that may occur whilst caring for an infant or child.
Face to face workshop, half day (4 hours delivery)
This includes but is not limited to the general management of:
The unconscious infant / child
The infant / child breathing difficulties
Perform CPR (infant, child) and includes the use of an automated external defibrillator on a child

Minimum age for participants is 14 years. The multiple choice assessment component is completed online via eLearning prior to the face to face session and evidence given to the trainer. It is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least four minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
A quality first aid manual and a FREE CPR keyring resuscitation face mask. A coloured certificate with a coloured hard plastic wallet card, replica of the certificate. An emailed copy of your certificate when competent and a web based verification system to authenticate your award. The use of quality, hygienic adult, junior & infant manikins and training defibrillators. Up to date first aid material, PowerPoint presentation, DVDs.
GROUP BOOKINGS ONLY. We come to you, conducted at a venue of your choice or home (our minimum charge allows for up to 8 participants). Get a group together, contact others in your industry, clubs, friends and family. Please refer to the contact us section of the website for details.
Certificate valid for 12 months as per industry standard. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommend that CPR skills are refresher annually.

In the face to face portion of the training, you are taught how to provide CPR with confidence. The multiple choice assessment component is completed online via eLearning prior to training. There is ample time in this half day program to ask questions and to practice the necessary skills needed for providing emergency life support for infant and child (we also cover adult resuscitation).
This course includes and exceeds the requirements of HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. This statement of attainment is nationally recognised throughout Australia.
