This unit covers the competency required to minimise further injury to a casualty when applying first aid and waiting for emergency medical aid.
The application of this unit in the workplace covers recognition and management of suspected spinal injuries.
The unit is typically relevant for personnel from emergency services and/or volunteer organisations or organisations which provide a first aid service in an environment where there is a risk of spinal injuries.
Face to face workshop, one day (7 hours delivery), theory and practical instruction.

A quality first aid manual. A coloured certificate with a coloured hard plastic wallet card, replica of the certificate. An emailed copy of your certificate when competent and a web based verification system to authenticate your award. The use of quality cervical collars, scoop stretchers, spine boards and strapping, stokes baskets and training props. Up to date first aid material, PowerPoint presentation, DVD's.
