Apply First Aid (previously called Senior/level 2) is a contemporary course which provides participants with the knowledge and skill to confidently recognise and respond effectively and safely to an emergency situation requiring first aid. The course is suitable for the general public, students and corporate clients. Gain confidence to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This is the advised minimum requirement by Workplace Health & Safety Legislation for the workplace first aider.
On completion of this course you qualify as a Workplace First Aider. The Statement of Attainment is recognised throughout Australia.

Minimum age for participants is 14 years. A current Apply first aid certificate is needed for a recertification course. In the face to face portion of the training, you are taught how to provide first aid with confidence. The distance learning component can be completed online via eLearning. Those that are time challenged find the online learning method very convenient.
A quality first aid manual, a CPR chart card. A coloured certificate with a coloured hard plastic wallet card, replica of the certificate. An emailed copy of your certificate when competent and a web based verification system to authenticate your award. For the flexible learning option, a self-paced online workbook is provided. The use of quality, hygienic adult, junior & infant manikins, bandages, training props and defibrillator. Up to date First Aid material, PowerPoint presentation, DVDs.
GROUP BOOKINGS ONLY. We come to you, conducted onsite or at your home (minimum 6 participants). We cannot register individual participants. Certificate valid for 3 years as per industry standard. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends the HLTCPR211A Perform CPR component is refreshed every 12 months.

Training You First Aid conducts progressive assessment throughout the course including practical demonstrations linked with a multiple choice assessment. A multiple choice assessment, which reviews the practical content and covers a range of theory topics. Individual practical assessment of resuscitation skills. Due to the practical components of the course participants are advised to wear comfortable casual clothing.
This statement of attainment is nationally recognised and workplace approved throughout Australia. Apply first aid (Senior/Level2) is the national standard for workplaces throughout Australia.

Nurses: HLTFA311A Apply First Aid has been endorsed by Royal College of Nursing, Australia, according to approved criteria. Attendance attracts 5 RCNA Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) points as part of RCNA's Life Long Learning Program (3LP).
